This Privacy Policy explains what information juliachen.dev ("this site") collects, how it is used, and your choices. This site is a personal portfolio operated by Julia Chen and does not require an account, accept payments, or run an e-commerce checkout.

The contact form on the About page collects the name, email address, and message you choose to submit. That information is used to read your message and reply. When the button says “Open email draft,” the form opens your email app; you decide whether to send the message. The form does not submit those details to this site’s server in that mode. When direct delivery is enabled, messages are sent through Resend. Contact information is not sold, shared for advertising, or used to build a marketing list.

Standard web server and hosting logs (such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps) may be recorded automatically by the hosting provider for security and reliability purposes.

When direct message delivery is enabled, the contact form loads Cloudflare Turnstile to check submissions for automated activity. Turnstile may process technical signals from your browser. It is not loaded in email-draft mode.

This site does not use cookies or third-party analytics for tracking or advertising. If that changes in the future, this policy will be updated.

This site links to LinkedIn, employer and university websites, and media sources. Those destinations have their own privacy practices.

This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

This policy may be updated from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
